EKOFRIZ is a concentrated antifreeze based on propylene glycol and glycerin, with added corrosion inhibitors, used to prevent freezing in open and closed cooling systems where non-toxic coolant is required due to the potential for mixing with drinking water or spilling into the environment.

• EKOFRIZ guarantees protection from corrosion and freezing for at least 5 years
• To achieve protection against freezing down to -25ºC, it is necessary to mix 50% EKOFRIZ with 50% water

EKOFRIZ contains phosphate salts that enhance the anticorrosive protection of the cooling/heating system, but they are not stable when mixed with hard water (>14°dH). Mixing with hard water may cause the solution to become cloudy and form light sediment. This does not affect the antifreeze’s properties (freezing point, anticorrosive protection, and heat transfer), but it may cause problems with fine particle filters. Therefore, it is recommended to mix it with softened or distilled (demineralized) water.

Mixing with antifreezes based on organic salts or borates/silicates is not recommended.
